About
__________________________________________________________________________________

My name is Shannon Evans and I am the creator of The Rocket Pages. I started my own business when I was 18 years old and have always loved supporting other small business owners. Over the years I’ve created a few paper directories promoting small businesses and put together two Shop Local events here in Seattle. In 2009 I decided to create a directory online since that’s where everyone goes for the things they need. Plus I would be able to add businesses to it all year long.
The Rocket Pages was born out of a need to offer advertising to small business owners at a reasonable price. My goal was to make it affordable to the smallest business out there. I have always struggled in the past with finding affordable advertising for my greeting card business. I only sell my cards for $1.50 so I can’t afford to advertise in the yellow pages or even some of the smaller local publications. I have even heard from some of the business owners that advertising in these publications isn’t worth the money anyway because they didn’t get any business from them. So by charging only $35-$50 per year to advertise in the Rocket Pages I am hoping to attract businesses like myself and give the public a way to support their local small business owners.
Thank you for your support of our awesome Seattle businesses!
