I am a self-taught American artisan who makes hats from vintage textiles and found objects. Lao, the Chinese word for ‘old’, is a play on words and a reference to the recycled nature of my limited edition wearable art pieces.

Planet Happy is not only home to the fabulous toys, but also to a live plant wall, a bird aviary, and a cute African pygmy hedgehog named Buttercup. Stop in to say hi and you’ll also find play areas, drop-in craft stations anytime of the day, monthly story times, game nights, and Saturday craft classes. Ready to party? Planet Happy also hosts birthday parties and group activities.
